Atheme
From Atheme
Established in 2005, the Atheme project seeks to create free, open-source software for a number of different topics. All Atheme projects are fairly licensed in accordance to our licensing policy. In addition, Atheme attempts to promote interoperability between free software projects. The Atheme project is governed by the Atheme bylaws.
The Atheme website serves as a crossroads and point for the management and discussion of the Atheme project as a whole. It is likely that you are more interested in a specific project, and not the Atheme project as a whole.
This wiki is effectively read only. Only Atheme members may edit it, provided that they have set a kerberos password on their account.
Software
Atheme is always expanding to include new projects which fit into the Atheme platform already. If you are a suitable authority in a project which would like to join Atheme, you can open a request via our bug tracker. You should file such requests in the atheme.org project, and nowhere else.
An authoritative list of software comprising the Atheme platform is available here as well.
Standards
While Atheme is not an formal standards organization, we have produced a number of standards concerning numerous topics. For other informal standards, you may wish to look at freedesktop.org, and the Free Standards Group. We are not formally affiliated with either of these groups, but some of our members work with those groups as well.
For more formal standards, you should look at the Linux Standard Base project (specific to Linux), The X.org Foundation, or the IETF.
